Enrichment at DMIS
At Dragon Mandarin Immersion School, we believe learning extends beyond the classroom. Students have access to a wide range of enrichment opportunities through Dragon Academy, including robotics, chess, debate, public speaking, fine arts, dance, soccer, and more—all designed to support whole-child development.

Outside the Classroom
Physical Education
DMIS students participate in daily physical education, with additional recreational sports and activities such as soccer and dance available through our after-school program. Full inter-scholastic sports are in development.
Robotics
Our State Champion robotics team is open to DMIS students. This popular program is beloved by students who take pride in their accomplishments while expanding their engineering, teamwork and collaboration skills.
Chess
Known as the “Game of Kings,” chess is one of our most popular programs. DMIS students have the opportunity to strengthen their strategy and critical thinking skills during our after-school program.
Fine Arts
Our fine arts offerings include group and private musical instrument lessons, drama, painting, drawing, clay sculpture, dance, Chinese calligraphy, and more.
Supplemental Chinese
In order to support our students, supplemental Chinese classes are available for all proficiency levels in our after-care program.
Supplemental English
Supplemental English language support is available in both reading and writing through our after-school program.
Supplemental Math
DMIS and Dragon Academy offer supplemental math courses including Singapore Math, Beast Academy, and general math tutoring and homework help.
Homework Help
For students enrolled in after-care, dedicated homework help time is provided to support assignment completion and help ease the after-school workload for parents.
Events
DMIS hosts a variety of events throughout the year to showcase its students' achievements, including school performances, gallery exhibitions, recitals, and cultural celebrations. These events give students a platform to showcase their talents and celebrate creativity within the school community.
